What is scenario planning?
Garry Peterson, Assistant Professor at McGill University and Canada Research Chair, answers this question.
-Scenario planning is basically an approach to thinking about the future, to try to deal with really difficult uncertainty or unknowability in a useful way, Peterson explains.
 
About Garry Peterson
Garry Peterson is a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair and assistant professor cross-appointed between the Department of Geography and the McGill School of the Environment at McGill University.

His research is centered on the theory and practice of ecological management. He is interested in the ecological dynamics of human dominated ecosystems, and understanding the dynamics of social-ecological systems.

He is a member of the Resilience Alliance, and a coordinating lead author for the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment.

He is also the book review editor for Ecology and Society, and maintains a weblog on Resilience Science. In collaboration with MSE students He has set up a Wiki for the MSE.
