How should we manage resources differently?
Claudia Pahl-Wostl, Professor at the Institute of Environmental Systems Research, University of Osnabrück, answers this question.
- In an area that has a tendency to flood....instead of simply trying to protect and protect and once things fail, after disaster, considering it may be more useful to [take an integrated approach and for example] have areas that are temporarily flooded, Pahl-Woostl explains.
