AIPP is a forum for indigenous peoples in Asia. It develops research programme and systematic documentation of the various issues and aspects of indigenous peoples lives and to publish and disseminate them. It also co-ordinate with other organizations and movements for the realization of the aspirations of indigenous peoples of Asia.The IIFB is a collection of representatives from indigenous governments, indigenous non-governmental organizations and indigenous scholars and activists that organize around the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and other important international environmental meetings to help coordinate indigenous strategies at these meetings, provide advice to the government parties, and influence the interpretations of government obligations to recognize and respect indigenous rights to the knowledge and resources.
Both AIPP and IIFB are partners of Swedbio, a knowledge interface in the areas of biodiversity, resilience and ecosystem services related to needs in developing countries. Swedbio is hosted by Stockholm Resilience Centre.
